This policy explains what personal data oowebs collects through oowebs.com and while working with clients, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have written it to follow Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), and it also covers what visitors in the European Union and mainland China need to know.
1. Who we are
oowebs is operated by Company name (UEN / registration number), Registered address, Singapore (“oowebs”, “we”, “us”).

2. What we collect
When you send an enquiry
The “Start your project” questionnaire asks for:
- Contact details: your name, email address, and optionally a phone or WhatsApp number and a WeChat ID.
- About your business: company name, industry, current website, where your customers are, and the languages you need.
- About the project: the package or type of software you are interested in, extras, materials you already have, timing, a rough budget, and anything you choose to write in the free-text fields.
We also record the country your enquiry was sent from, which our hosting provider works out from your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself.
On your device
While you fill in the questionnaire, your answers are saved in your browser’s local storage so that you don’t lose them if you reload the page. This draft stays on your device and is only sent to us when you press “Send”. It is deleted when you send the enquiry, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
oowebs.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not currently use any third-party analytics. If we add analytics later, we will use a privacy-friendly service that does not set cookies, and update this policy first.
When you become a client
To deliver a project we also handle the materials you send us (such as logos, text and photos), our correspondence with you, and the billing details needed to invoice you.
3. How we use it
We use your personal data only to:
- reply to your enquiry and recommend a package, or ask follow-up questions about a custom project;
- prepare quotes and agreements;
- design, build, launch and look after your website or software;
- invoice you and keep the records the law requires;
- keep our website and systems secure.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send you marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them.
4. Our grounds for using it
- Consent: you agree to us using your details to reply when you tick the box in the questionnaire. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 9).
- Contract: once you are a client, we use your data to carry out our agreement with you.
- Legal obligations: for example, keeping accounting records.
- Legitimate interests: keeping our services secure and preventing abuse.
If you are in the European Union, these correspond to the lawful bases in Article 6 of the GDPR.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run oowebs, and only as much as they need:

We may also share information with professional advisers (such as accountants or lawyers) under confidentiality, or with authorities where the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Our providers process data in several countries, including the United States. When your data is transferred out of Singapore, we make sure it remains protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA, for example through our providers’ contractual commitments.
If you are in mainland China: sending us an enquiry means your details are transferred outside mainland China so that we can reply. The details involved are those listed in section 2, and you can exercise the rights in section 9 by writing to us.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t become projects are deleted within 24 months of our last contact.
- Client records are kept for as long as the project and any Care plan continue, and afterwards for as long as the law requires — in Singapore, accounting records are kept for 5 years.
8. How we protect it
All traffic to oowebs.com is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to enquiries and client data is limited to the people who need it to do their work, and our providers apply their own security measures.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used;
- correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- stop using your data, by withdrawing your consent;
- delete your data, where we are not required to keep it.
If you are in the European Union, you can also object to certain uses, ask for your data in a portable format, and complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email hi@oowebs.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can also contact Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission.
10. Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page. If the change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you before it applies.
